The city has a rich history dating back to the Mission era. "The Mission City" was founded in 1852 and it has grown to become an internationally vibrant and diverse community with around 129 thousand residents.
Santa Clara is home of SantaClara University,  the oldest university in California,  and Mission College, as well as California’s Great America Theme Park and Levi's® Stadium - home of the San Francisco 49ers.
