Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Sunnyvale Farmer's Market is hosted at the Caltrain Station on Evelyn Avenue, where visitors may enjoy the neighborhood atmosphere and shop for fresh produce, locally crafted items, and specialty foods. On Wednesdays throughout the summer, the street shuts off traffic for the evening and provides visitors with a free dinner show courtesy of live bands and street retailers.
The video game industry got its start in Sunnyvale, which is why it's one of the city's claims to fame. The city served as the location for a computer game company in WarGames, and it was formerly home to Atari headquarters.
